In one or more of the following situations (especially when the heliport needs to be used at night), the heliport should be equipped with a visual approach slope indicator:

1. Obstacle clearance, noise reduction or traffic control procedures require helicopters to approach at a specific slope;

2. The heliport can only provide very little visual ground reference information;

3. The performance of the helicopter requires a stable approach.
